an interesting idyllic scene perhaps of your hometown ???...it seems everyone has a canal in their backyard... Perhaps this is the nature of Louviers.... I am trying to examine the era when Louviers france was a textile center 1700 - 1800. Do you have any suggestions ???

Hello Stephen - thank you for your interest in my painting of Louviers. Yes Louviers is my hometown. Like many other of cities Louviers has a river running through (called Eure river). There is a lot of documentation/books/articles regarding the textile industry of Louviers but most of it is going to be in French. Do you speak French?
